PISTACHE CLOTHING UPDATED PRESS RELEASE 2011
After working for brands like American Apparel & Quiksilver, brothers Nick & Jamie (aka Mr.Moon & Nature323) established 'Pistache' in London, 2003. Since then, Pistache has been on a mission to produce the best quality screen printed t-shirts available, with minimum impact on the environment & maximum impact when you wear them. Pistache screen prints everything by hand with eco-friendly inks. This gives every t-shirt a unique quality that can't be mass produced by machines. They also create limited edition graffiti caps, skateboards, stickers, mixtapes, canvases & other artwork.
Before Pistache, Mr.Moon was an MC with renowned UK Hip Hop Crew Dupa Styles (with Yungun, Devise & Harry Love) & a member of pirate hip hop radio station Parlay FM. So, naturally Pistache started out by clothing personal friends from the UK Hip Hop scene. Sponsoring Yungun gave the brand immediate exposure & credability. Since then, Pistache has made all sorts of organic music connections with other artists like DJ Mr Thing, DJ MK, Spin Doctor, Yarah Bravo, Asaviour, DJ Vadim, DJ Excalibah, Guru (R.I.P.), Mark De Clive Lowe, Nigel NK, MC Wrec, The Infadels, Soweto Kinch, Tommy Evans, Evil Ed, Verb T, DJ IQ, GTA, Chima Anya, DJ Stirfry, DJ Kojak & Infinite Potential.

The Pistache Boys collaborate with underground graffiti writers & graphic designers like Lady Luck, Abstrakt & BoardChicks to help keep the designs fresh & showcase work by up & coming artists. Pistache Clothing also has it's own Extreme Sports Team featuring MMA fighters, skaters & surfers like Karl Frampton, Marco Vicari, Sebastien Lopez, Eugene Tollemache & Louis Selby. They also sponsor girls like Emily Rose, who won MTV's Hip Hop Candy competition & now lives in Los Angeles, where she is a TV presenter & model.
The Pistache Boys are making their lives, & the brand, even more eco-friendly by growing a sustainable Paulownia Tree Plantation on 4.5 acres of disused agricultural land. The O2 produced by the Paulownia Trees should more than offset the CO2 produced from shipping Pistache orders worldwide. Pistache uses as much recycled material as possible for packaging & branding. They donate misprinted t-shirts to charity & also recycle unwearable t-shirts & waste paper into compost to feed their Paulownia trees.

I chopped this up myself, added some claps and finger clicks then jumped in the booth. For obvious reasons, this was never going to get a proper release! The verses ended up going on the Grown Man Business album that me and Mr Thing did. Now seemed like as good a time as any to let people hear it. Enjoy!"
